Matt Pleasant came into my life when I was down as low as I could be in jail in Dawson County Georgia. I had no idea what was about to happen to me or my family, the only thing I did know is that I had been charged with seven counts of aggravated stalking and a very slim chance of having a bond and if I did it was likely to be $100,000 or more. I was possibly facing the rest of my life in prison up to 70 years possible worst case scenario. Over a misunderstanding from a TPO with my separated wife from several years prior over some simple reciprocal Facebook messages. Matt came to meet me for the first time, he never once cast judgement upon me or treated me like a criminal. Instead he gave me all the facts about my case and clearly explained the situation in a way I could understand while also doing the same for my girlfriend at home. After just a short period of time I got informed that my bond had been reduced to $15,000 because of Matt’s attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the law. After posting my now possible and now affordable bond I was able to come home to my family to await trial. Matt began his work on my case, always making time to answer our questions and ease our concerns. He was happy to accommodate my work schedule and my responsibilities caring for my elderly Father who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Matt Pleasant stood between my worst fear and myself. As our trial date approached Matt brought in his father and trial partner Thomas Pleasant in to help and after seeing them work together for the best possible outcome for my case, my worry dwindled more and more and my confidence in a good outcome for me increased daily. Thanks to their professionalism I sit here in my home in my own bed with the people I love instead of being cast into misery without ever having to suffer the stress of going to trial!
